Oil and Gas

Natural Gas is found in fields ranging in size from one to several hundred wells.  After some preliminary processing, the gas from each well is gathered into a gas gathering system and delivered to a central processing plant, where acid gases and valuable ethane, propane, butane or natural gasoline still contained in the gas are removed.  A gas gathering system is the pipeline and facilities that accumulate and transport natural gas from a well to an acceptance point of a transportation pipeline.

When compared to other plastic piping options, polyethylene or PE shows excellent diffusion resistance, and because of this property, polyethylene has been used for gas conveyance for over twenty years.  Polytubes 2009 Inc. also carries a grouping of specialized products for the oil and gas industry.  PVDF is widely used in the chemical industry as a piping system for aggressive liquids.  PVDF is a homopolymer without additives such as stabilizers and processing agents.  It also displays excellent flame retardant properties.

Products available at Polytubes 2009 Inc. include:

  • 1/2" through 12"
  • SDR 40 through SDR 5
  • Siphon String
  • PVDF
  • Custom Extrusion (Liner pipe)
